Swami Vivekananda was one of the Indian gurus. Swami Vivekananda was born on 12 January 8163 on the day of Makar Sankranti in Kolkata. His real name was Narendranath Dutt. His mother’s name was Bhuvaneshwari Devi and father’s name was Vishwanath Dutt, who was a famous lawyer of Kolkata High Court. Swami Vivekananda’s grandfather’s name was Durgacharan Dutt, who was a Sanskrit and Persian scholar. Swami Vivekananada was a naughty man with a sharp intellect.

  In 1871, Swami Vivekananda enrolled at the Metropolitan Institute of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar at the age of eight. In 1877 his family moved to Raipur. After coming back to Kolkata in 1879, the first division in the Presidency College entrance examination He became a successful student. He was an enthusiastic student in many subjects including history, social science, philosophy, religion, art and literature. In addition to Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas, M Vivekananda was deeply interested in many Hindu scriptures. He studied Western logic, Western philosophy, and European history at the Scottish Church College. Narendra completed his Bachelor of Arts in 1884 and the degree in Fine Arts in 1881, studying the works of Charles Darwin, David Hume, John Stuart Mill, Emmanuel Kant, Johann Gottlieb Fitch, Baruch Spinoza … etc. He translated Spencer’s book Education into Bengali in 8160 and also learned the Sanskrit texts of Western philosophers and the literature of Bengal.

 The death and cause of Swami Vivekananda
